"Between peace and war"
Clicking heels down ancient paths in my dreams.
Embracing arms in unprecedented change.
I shatter the silence I held over their eyes.
Here, helpless to shield anyone from explosions of disintegrated
justice.
Discouragement dislodges dismal clouds.
And you are there, timid to the life, you live differently,
And I love you, or you.
You, bound to the situation unable to break loose.
Me, grabbing any scrap of rope I can find to tie myself to the
land.
Differences shine through holes in paper bags,
The dare: to turn off the lights and catch the glow.
Teaching determination to sever the ties of separate worlds.
In it compromising my idealism, eradicating my wisdom.
We are hanging between peace and war by a thinning thread.
And I am dreaming delicate delusions
B'yedidut v'shalom,
