Waiting
Anger fills me, so what's new? Another bomb more wounded maybe dead.
We have nothing now but to wait. And what I want to do more than anything is say,
"I told you so!" Have we not been here, have there not been peace attempts? But we do all the giving - setting murders loose, so they might have a chance again, to come amongst us and kill us.
And the world, "oh dear" the world says, even as 20 people are killed in Iraq. They say: "these terrorists will do anything, they are despicable" and words, yes words, mean very much but when repeated with no strength behind them, they have little value to us.
We live this reality, everyday of our lives, from the moment we are born and until we die.
It shadows our lives, our dreams, our habits. A crowd seems like a bomb waiting to happen, joy is edgy waiting to be silenced.
I try to imagine my reality differently. I try to think how it would be not to see so many security personnel everywhere. I try to think what it would be like to walk into someplace without having my bags checked. How it would be to go on a bus and not suspect every passenger of wanting my death.
You can't imagine our life, our pain, our strength. We have nothing but our pride left! Even that is in tatters!
We are as gullible as ever, where is the Palestinian government?? What are they doing to stop their people's suffering, to feed their people, educate them, bring them up in life as humans, who want to live and who want to flourish instead of dying for a dead concept.
I have no more requests, of you world, no more expectations, you've let me down. You're too busy with yourself.
G-d granted us, as humans, the power to be above animals, to rule, to learn, to seek, to expand, and yet here we are, destroying ourselves, over power.
You world, disgust me.
