If given the choice
You know I would have been by her side
To be with her in her last moments,
To hug her that one moment in time,
To see her grow and change before my eyes
If given the choice
You know I would bring her back
From the ashes and the flames
Her face had dissolved within
Never to be seen again

You know I would remember her
Until the day I die
With every candle lit, with every tear that's cried,
With every word that's spoken, and every star in the sky.
If given the choice
You know I, too, would die
Just to be with her
Just for her to be by my side.
