In Poland I had a talk with God.
Only me and him, and I asked
God - Where had you been,
When a million and a half kids were murdered here?
He was silent for a minute, then he said
I'm sorry, you understand,
There was nothing I could do
I only did what I was told to
I couldn't save anyone
They were strong, I was one.
I told him, that is what the nazis said in court
He stopped for a minute and wondered
If he was also a war criminal.
I asked him not to be offended,
But I still don't understand
How six million
In six years,
And people still believe in you
Elohim.
