Smadar
My name is Smadar S., I am 15 years old, and I am a sophomore in a private, all-girls Jewish High School. I was born in Israel, but I currently reside in New York. I enjoy writing and reading. In fact, I write for my school's newspaper, I work on many school journals throughout the years, and I am also a journalist for "The Jewish Week", a newspaper in New York. One of my favorite things to do is to teach people about the land of Israel and how important it is to me. I love to talk about the Israeli soldiers, and to show everyone how hard they are working so that we may have a home to go back to. In school, I make special videos for Yom Hashoa and Yom Hazikaron. I like to spend my time doing something meaningful, and during the summer, I work in a camp to bring Jewish children closer to Judaism. My whole family is in Israel, and anything that has to do with Israel is important to me. |

Rebekah
Hello everyone! My name is Rebekah James, and I'm 15 years old. I live in Jerusalem, and have been in Israel since October 2000. We moved to Jerusalem in early July and have been here since. I volunteer at the local zoo, and also at a stable where I ride. I love to work with horses and lemurs, but that's another story in and of itself! I love to help out kids who are planning to come here, as I know what it's like, so don't be afraid to contact me with a question. I can't wait to hear from you all! I also love the sea; it's one of my favorite places in Israel! I would love to hear from you, send me an e-mail. |

Lila
Hey! My name is Lila R. I'm a 15 year old living in Maryland, right outside of DC. I go to Walter Johnson HS. I love Israel and have been 9 times with my family, including a 6-month stay. I hope to make aliyah in the near future. I am also a competitive swimmer and an active member of Seaboard USY. I like to make new friends, so feel free to send me an e-mail.

Alex
Alex p. grew up in the large and diverse Jewish community of Baltimore, MD.
Alex writes,"It's a great place to go to meet new people, and hang out with kids who you wouldn't normally get to spend time with. There is often a lot of tension between kids who go to different schools, and different shuls (synagogues), but most of the time the differences are resolved, and when the different "groups" give each other a chance, they realize that they are really good friends and they have so much to learn from each other." |
Motty
Hi. My name is Mordechai, but I am more commonly known as
Motty. I am a 20-year old Orthodox Jew living in Australia. I attended school and
yeshiva in Australia, as well as studying in Israel. I wouldn't consider myself
a Zionist, but I would like to live in Israel and possibly join the TZAHAL
(The Israeli Army) some day.
Community service and volunteer work are a part of my life, which I
am proud to say that I enjoy. I like to help people with all types of things. I
especially like to help people get to know and understand Judaism
better. So if you have any questions, enquiries, or just need someone to talk
to, then don't be afraid to ask or email me.
If you would like to contact me, or find out more about me or the
place I live, then please feel free to email me at write@ttt.org.il with Motty
in the subject line, and I will receive it.
Hayah
Hi! My name is Hayah and I fulfilled my dream when I moved to Israel
four years ago with my family. I am starting my second year of sherut leumi in
a month and I'm looking forward to getting back to my job! I teach
Judaism in non-religious schools all over Jerusalem. In addition to my work I am
also involved with debating. A competitive debater myself, I now coach
the Jerusalem workshop and weekly meeting.
If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to, please don't
hesitate to email me at write@ttt.org.il with Haya
in the subject line.
