The World Shuts Its Eyes On Israel
by Adam N.
Israel Is the most important and holy place for Jews. For years now Israel has tried to make peace with the Arabs/Palestinians, but for some strange reason peace is not what the Arabs desire. From a young age Arabs are brought up to hate Jews. They learn it at school and from their own homes. We have tried multiple times to make peace with them and they constantly reject our offers.
When Ehud Barak was the P.M of Israel he negotiated with the Arabs' leader, Arafat, and met 95% of their demands. Barak was ready to give up a tremendous amount of land just to make peace with the Arabs. I thank G-d everyday that the Arabs rejected our treaty because if we would have given them most of their demands, we still would not have had peace. Nonetheless the Arabs still did not except 95% of their demands! They refused to make peace with us, because peace is not what they desire.
It bothers me so much that the world sees Israel as the criminals and the Palestinians as the troubled people looking for peace. I can't watch the news or read the papers because they are all so pro-Palestinian. There are so few newspapers that are pro-Israel, let alone just neutral.
Nothing bothers me more then the "The Sun Paper". "The Sun Paper" is the local paper in Maryland and not only does it make the Arabs look great, it makes the Jews sound like absolute jerks. Around two years ago the front page of "The Sun Paper" had a 17 year old boy's face covered in blood. This picture was huge and it made you cringe when you glanced at it. The caption stated that this poor kid was an Arab who was severely beaten by Jewish Police Officers. It turns out that they had it totally wrong! The boy was a JEW who was severely beaten by an Arab. I mean I guess it's understandable to make a mistake but what they did next was absolutely awful. You would think that when they made the correction, they would make a fairly large picture of it again, and state that it was a Jew who was being beaten by an Arab. "The Sun Paper" was too anti-Semitic to do that, though. Instead on the 8th page of the paper, in a tiny little corner, it made the correction.
I can't even describe the anger that was flowing through my veins. I was absolutely furious. How can people be so blind to something that is so obvious? If random people started blowing themselves up in America, I guarantee we would consider them terrorists. However, in Israel, they are considered helpless people who just need a home. Israel's biggest mistake was letting them in to begin with. The Palestinians originally wanted to go to their so called "brothers" in Syria and Jordan. Do you know why they didn't go there and stay there? It's because Jordan and Syria wouldn't accept them! Israel, being a nice country, let the Palestinians in! And ever since then the Palestinians have totally abused their privilege.
A few months ago we killed one of the heads of Hamas. "The Sun Paper" started the article saying that this man was a professor and doctor. Of course you had to read on a few lines to realize that he believes all Jews should die. Of course "The Sun Paper" has to make him look all nice in the beginning. Articles like these really make me upset. The only thing we can do is hope that G-d will take care of us and Israel.
I will end by saying that no matter how bad the situation looks in Israel, G-d will pull us through it all and we will succeed. May G-d bless Israel, our holy land and home.
