By me it's really hot!!!
I sure hope it's going great
and you are having fun
because summer should be relaxing.
Sit back and enjoy it, everyone!!!
Take the time to enjoy outside
and smell the roses too.
It was all put there for a reason
and that reason's me and you!!!
To conclude this poem,
I'll tell just one more thought.
I really hope for this summer
many smiles I have just brought!!!

FLICKERING

The shadows are flickering menacingly
Flickering, flickering, against the Wall of Life
Our people’s Wall of Life
Threatening, threatening, causing death, causing strife

Flames are not too hard to extinguish
But shadows are not flames
And these flicker ever-brightly now
Threatening, threatening, playing games

The flame has grown into a roaring inferno
Blazing ever-higher in years gone past
The fire seems to be defeating the water
But no fire as such will be able to last

Bring water, now, faster, bring it faster
Save the victims of the burning world
See the black smoke in the sky,
Unfurling, unfurling, unfurled

The shadow of the enemies
Go up with the curls of smoke, black, dark, soot,
Shadows, dancing, dancing, dancing eerily
As the sun rises behind the smoke and embers’ route

The dancing shadows in the flames
Quickly dissipate -- gone forever
The shadows are going, diminishing, defeated finally
Flickering, flickering.
