The Outside and the Inside
Benjamin Raymond
I’m starting to realize
That you can’t judge
A book by its cover
Although it took me a while to discover.
It’s not the outside; it’s the inside.
It’s not about the looks; it’s the person.
It’s not the cover; it’s the pages.
It’s the person and not the ages.
It’s not the clothes, it’s the person.
It’s not the cup; it’s the content.
It’s not the telephone; it’s the call.
It’s not the paint; it’s the wall.
The outside died today,
And the inside was born
I guess the old saying was right.
Its not about the looks, its the inner light.
And Yet I’m Me
Benjamin Raymond
I’m not a speaker,
Yet I have thoughts to tell.
I’m not a sportsman,
Yet I love sports so much.
I’m not clever,
Yet I know I’m not dumb.
But I am me,
Yet I am as proud as can be.
Definition of a True Friend
Benjamin Raymond
Friends are people who you can trust.
Rather than people who make you frown.
In the end they are people who are there for you when you need them.
Everything should depend if they love you when you’re happy or down.
Nothing should stop them from loving you?
Do you think you’re a true friend?
